How to make kimchi in Pakistan/India

Hi guys! if you're from Pakistan or India then you must be a kdramas or  k-pop fan.it always seems so sexy and lovely to watch Lee min ho or taehyung eat kimchi. Okay, scenes of different dramas about lovey-dovey kimchi moments swirling in my mind. (tell me in the comments if you want me to talk more about them, lol)

Kimchi is a traditional Korean dish, but you can still make it in Pakistan/India with some ingredients that are available in the local market. Here's a simple recipe to make kimchi:

Ingredients:

1 medium-sized Chinese cabbage(read pro-tip)

1 tablespoon salt

1 tablespoon sugar

3 tablespoons Korean red pepper flakes

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 small piece of ginger, minced

2 green onions, sliced

1/4 cup fish sauce

Instructions:

Cut the cabbage into quarters and remove the core. Cut each quarter into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large bowl.

Sprinkle salt over the cabbage and mix it well. Let it sit for about an hour.

Rinse the cabbage with cold water and drain the excess water.

In a separate bowl, mix the sugar, Korean red pepper flakes, garlic, ginger, green onions, and fish sauce to make a paste.

Add the cabbage to the paste and mix well until all the cabbage is coated with the paste.

Transfer the mixture to a glass jar or container with a lid. Press the cabbage down firmly so that it's all submerged in the paste.

Let the kimchi ferment for 1-2 days at room temperature, then store it in the fridge.

Serve the kimchi as a side dish or as an ingredient in other dishes.

Note: If you prefer less spicy kimchi, you can adjust the amount of Korean red pepper flakes to your liking. Also, you can substitute the fish sauce with soy sauce if you prefer a vegetarian version of kimchi.

Pro tip: yeah, I know that problem, you're from Pakistan or India and you don't have Chinese cabbage (also called napa cabbage,)but you don't have to worry yourself. Feel free to use any type of cabbage green cabbage, savoy cabbage, white cabbage, red cabbage, bok choy, and so on). yes, you can use that round cabbage which is available in your market. Ta-da!!!!!

Your kimchi is ready!!
